Decentralized Governance and Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Regional Development (DG)

The DG Project aims to build stronger decentralized development initiatives that are responsive to the needs of local communities. It aims to establish the foundations for stronger federal-type regional governance.

Implementation Period: December 1, 2012 to November 30, 2015
Area/Locality of Implementation: Davao Oriental and Davao del Norte

Key accomplishments to date:

  • Organized provincial CSO network in Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental
  • Strengthened CSO participation in local special bodies, LPRAT/RPRAT and enhanced coordination, networking and partnership with government line agencies and LGUs through capacity development programs
  • Crafted a regional poverty reduction and development agenda (RPRDA) through multi-sectoral provincial and regional consultations with CSOs. The provincial CSO networks work for the realization of the RPRDA.
